With our interdisciplinary platform for women working in venture capital, business creation and start-ups, we want to support each other in excelling professionally, growing and achieving goals.
According to different studies, only 10 to 20 percent of startups are founded by women, in the investment industry female leaders are even more rare. To change this, we aim to support female founders and investors with interdisciplinary knowledge transfer and to serve as a female incubator.
Venture Ladies is all about empowering and supporting each other.
Venture Ladies was founded by Eva-Juliane Stark, Lena Johanna Schmitt and Lucie Volquartz in 2014. Today, we have more than 2.500 women from various disciplines in our network. Our members are successful entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, managers and experts from different industries.

Eva-Juliane Stark
Eva is a well known venture capital lawyer who is ranked twice in the BEST LAWYERS ranking and is currently General Legal Counsel for the early stage VC-Funds Cavalry Ventures. Eva is also an active business angel investing in female founders and supporting startups as mentor and legal advisor. Currently she is invested in LAORI, MERSOR, STRONG Fitness and others.
Lena Johanna Schmitt
Lena is a certified Trainer and Business Coach and supports people to have better relationships
Her special expertise lies in the areas of digital culture, leadership, communication and innovations.
Lucie Volquartz
Lucie Volquartz is a media and startup professional, currently working in portfolio management and investments for German publisher Axel Springer. Before, she was Director for Product, Marketing and Strategy at POLITICO Europe. Prior to this, she gained experience in different units of Axel Springer and worked for leading digital association Bitkom advocating for startup interests.
